We are off to exhibit at this years Web Summit conference in Lisbon early next week. We've also just heard that we have won a slot at a prestigious pitch investment event in London later this month.

We'll be pitching at the TechTalk Academy event on November 15 th.
The TechTalk Academy is run by Pi Labs, a venture capitalist firm which is a global leader in investing in early stage proptech innovations.

Proptech companies from around Europe were invited to apply for the event and as one of the chosen few, we now have the chance to win up to £150,000 investment from Pi Labs.

Sorbet is the only Welsh company chosen to pitch at this year’s event in London. Our CEO and founder Brooke Williams will now pitch to the investors, but will also be talking to an influential audience, which includes Rob Cookson, the property leader at Facebook.

We are proud to be attending as Wales’ only representative and to demonstrate the good work around tech and innovation that is going on here at the moment. It is a great way for us to showcase Sorbet and how technology can help the property market.

Brooke came up with the idea for Sorbet as he used to run his own property inspection company. He believed there had to be a better way for agents, landlords, tenants and contractors to communicate, and decided to do something about it.

Sorbet’s software helps with transparency, accuracy and audit trails for the rental market.Letting agents, landlords, tenants and contractors are able to raise and monitor maintenance requests and jobs through the platform.

Brooke Williams teamed up with former Director of Dezrez Richard Wilson to set up the
company, and has also recruited Kevin Hughes, the former Marketing and Finance Director
of Gocompare.com, as a non-executive Director.

Brooke explains the thinking behind Sorbet: “Sorbet is a helpful software assistant for letting agents and property managers that will track the communication between the agent,contractors, landlords and tenants. It has been designed for ease of use for all parties,keeping everyone in the rental chain in the loop in a quick and easy way.The software automatically books contractors when reports and inspections are due, and deals with tenant maintenance requests without the agent having to do a thing.”
